Biography: Evan Goldberg has over seven years’ experience in civil and commercial litigation in the State and Federal Courts in New York. Though he has experience initiating lawsuits and defending against them, he makes strenuous efforts to help clients achieve needed results without the costs and disruption of litigation. His areas of practice include immigration (asylum and defending deportation), matrimonial and family law, RICO civil defense, and intellectual property enforcement (trademark and copyright). He also has thorough experience in appellate practice in both State and Federal Courts.
Past achievements include obtaining summary judgment for a defendant in a tortious interference with contractual relations action in Suffolk County, winning a summary judgment for defendants in a conversion suit in Suffolk County, successfully opposing injunctive relief in a contract dispute in New York Supreme Court, and obtaining a declaratory judgment for coverage on behalf of an insured.
Before his legal career he was an early employee of an Internet start-up company in San Francisco, California, where he worked on consumer protection issues.
