Mr. Schlossberg also handles disability claims, disability litigation and related claims which may arise concerning coverage under disability policies. For example, Mr. Schlossberg has successfully negotiated the reinstatement of health care benefits as well as a monetary award for the improper termination of such benefits arising from the employer’s improper termination of such benefits in conjunction with the improper denial of a long term disability claim by the employer’s Group Long Term disability carrier.  He has successfully obtained disputed coverage for health, environmental and life insurance claims.

He brings a diverse background of experience to our firm and has successfully brought numerous litigations to conclusion.  His achievements include: pursuing and holding an insurer responsible for the costs of successfully defending a multi-million dollar action brought by the State of New York to recover funds spent in an environmental contamination case; obtaining injunctions under the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act to prevent gasoline refiners and distributors from improperly terminating their franchise relationships with gasoline station operators; obtaining summary judgment against a contractor for failure to perform a contract for the replacement of sidewalks in Manhattan; obtaining summary judgment against a gasoline retailer on behalf of a dealer for an account stated; successfully obtaining summary judgment on personal guarantees; obtaining summary judgment against an insurer for fire loss; obtaining summary judgment against an insurer for coverage of New York State Navigation Law claims and resolving or settling numerous claim and surety bond coverage actions.

Mr. Schlossberg received his bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University in 1991 and his law degree from St. John’s University in 1996.  He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and New Jersey and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of New York, The District of New Jersey and the District of Colorado.
